I am curious. I think I am changing my exhaust setup in the very near future due to mine being too loud now. I changed to an off road h pipe and my spintech prostreets are too loud. They sound great but it is too much for me. Can't handle it. What is the difference in sound between the original 40 series flows and the mac flowpaths. All sound clips are more than welcome as always. And yes I have heard mustangexhaust.com but that isn't what i'm looking for. Thanks,

I think the 40's are even louder.
I just ordered some Hooker Aero Chambers, they are supposed to be slightly quieter than 40's but flow more.
Gimmie 1 week, I will post sound clips of my O/R X and Aero Chambers.

The Macs will have a lower tone and will be quieter.

To me the flowmaster's are a bit "airy" and the MAC Flowpaths are deeper and throatier. I love my flowpaths.

The inside of the flowpaths are chambered (as we all know) but the angled baffles have holes in them in some places, that is the difference. They sounded horrible on my 5.0 at high RPM. They are less tinny and lower toned but drone about the same. I think they sound better on a 4.6.

My first mod on my 03 was 2-chamber Flows welded in.....I soon switched to the Flowpath catback and, IMO, is MUCH better. The Flowpaths just have throatier, "raw-er" sound to them. They are actually louder than the Flows.

I debating on what I want now. I know what the flows sound like and love the sound but also here that the macs sound great also. The spintechs are too damn loud now with the offroad h...with the prochamber they were still setting off every alarm in town. But now they are being heard from like a mile away.

If you like the flows, than you will most likely like the flowpaths too. To me they sound very similar, but the flowpaths are a little deeper and have less interior drone. I love mine with the prochamber.

Stock exhaust except for the welded in Flowpaths. Also the Flowpaths are Stainless steel!
