HELP need source for cheap exhaust bits

So I have the remainder of this month to get my daily driver 68 cougar smogged.

Trouble is, the pipes from the mufflers back have rotted off. I don't think I can get the car tested without a failure due to dilution.

Not to mention corrosive gases chewing away at my undercarriage.

Of course, labor rates round here are less than affordable. A typical exhaust system around here runs 400 plus mufflers. Robbery.

So the question is, ...

Does anyone know where I can get the pipe, doesn't need to last forever, cheap?

I am even willing to run a 180 degree bend plus a 90 to put the exhaust out the side in front of the tires

Since the current system is, I believe, 2 1/4, I am looking for a temporary fix. A fix that will last a few more years until I finish my master's, or find a decent job.

Thanks.

For 250$, sure they'll get it done today!!!!:jaw:

Labor is really high around here. Getting rear brake shoes done goes for 150$!!!

I would like to invest as little as possible into the current system at its current diameter.

I'm hoping for something more like 50 to 150 tops. A friend has a welder, or I could just go the clamps route.
