As a Yankee fan, I must give respect to the bosox. I thought It would piss me off to see Boston win it all, but all in all the Yankees choked. that goes to show you pitching is everything. There's always next year for me, but as for the REAL bosox fans you can finally revel in the glory of being the champions of baseball.

p.s. we are still pedro's daddy!

I think they "bought" the world series. What are the odds of a team winning 8 straight games. I'm not a baseball fan either.
Hey, at least we can stop hearing about the damn Babe Ruth curse.

Your right!! I agree with you 100% The yankees are the best team money can buy. I think the whole sport is fixed. It's all politics anymore. It's all about what team has the most money to spend on quality players.
In doing so, they are in a sense, bidding on a championship.

but think about that for a minute. why is it that they have that money. How did they get that money. Could it have been because they are a great team and they keep winning. Everyone is going to pay to go see a winning team creating even more money. Understandably theres a point were after winning for a while your not going to be on the same level money wise as any other team in the league and they are able to afford top players that other teams cant afford. They build their team up just like any good buisness would build their buisness up. When someone comes along and dethrones them as bosox did this year things will begin to even out a little more.
I've been a Yankees fan since i was old enough to talk, watching the games all the time with my great grandmother. Its upseting to me to hear those kind of remarks about whos got more money. If your playing monopoly and your buddys got Boardwalk do you give up... no, you keep playing and screw him every time he lands on your hotel on Baltic ave. In other words, play your cards right and everyone has a chance to win.

I see your point. Actually, years ago, when I was a kid, I used to watch baseball all the time with my dad. We were both Yankee fans.
That was back when Reggie Jackson, Chris Chamblis, Bucky Dent, Mickey Rivers, Roy White, Greg Nettles, Thurmun Munson....I can't think of that second baseman's name. That was back in the mid-late 70's
Later on, when he(my dad) passed away, I lost interest in the game. It wasn't the same following the team without him.
I was hoping the Cardinals would win it because I was sick and tired about hearing about that damn curse. I wonder what Boston's excuse is going to be now, when they don't win another championship in 86 years

the the sox won because of team work and and playing hard every game and team chemistry the yankees havent won a ws since 2000 because the chemistry isnt there any more the yankees did more with less high name players before 2000 then they do now. no one plays for the yankees today for the prestige of playing in for the same team that the mick and lou gehrig and roger maris played for they are all a bunch of mercenarys the only player on that team the cares is derek jeter do you think that gary sheffield cares anything about that team the way he has bounced around the majors cmon the yankees were and empire when the players played for the pride of the yankees not a pay check today most of those players play for themselves boston won with alot of no name players bellhorn who was mark bellhorn orlando cabbera who is he bill mueller before last year no one knew who he or big papi where how bout trot nixon won of the best outfielders in the al but never been to the allstar game only pedro manny and schilling are making more the 10 million a year ortiz is getting 4 mill a year the yankees and red sox have the 2 highest payrolls in the al the yankees are at 180 mill the sox 150 mill the difference is 30 million dollars the the d rays arent worth 30 mill if the yankees wanna start winning again the need to deep six alot of those money players and get people who wanna play for the team not themselves
