How many of u guys/gals ride around with the factory spare tire and jack (I have a 15lb aluminum low pro jack)? Im debating taking it out to save a bit of weight while riding around, but with my luck Id get a flat tire within the first mile of driving.

keep it in there. you'll never know when you will need it. If anything, take out the back seat to save some weight.

Yeah man definately keep it unless you go to the drag strip and then just take it out there. I just got a flat last night on the road i drive everyday so you never know when you are gonna get a flat its better to have it than to want it.

I just had to install a plug yesterday on my nearly new tire

Neighbor a few houses down is roofing the house, and I surprisingly ended up with a roofing nail in my front passenger side tire

It's due to the hurricane we received last year

Luckily, I didn't have to use my spare tire, though i'd hate to be stranded knowing that I took the tire out to "save a few lbs"

I live in the 5th fastest growing city in the US. Therefore there is alot of contruction - nails, screws and everything else that will trash a tire.

I would recommend keeping the spare.

I dont carry mine. I did a cobra rear upgrade so it wouldnt fit anymore anyway. i just carry a can of fix a flat. A lot of sports cars dont have spares anymore either, they just come with fix a flats. (ie, corvette, crossfire,etc..) I just hope if i am unlucky enough to get a flat somewhere that it doesnt shred the tire and is just a hole so the fix a flat works.
