Spark plug burn color? & Dry NOS install?

Im fixing to install a Compucar (hidden) dry NOS shot and changed my plugs to non platinum as requested by Compucar and gapped them at .035 instead of factory .054 For some reason now the car seems to have picked up substantially just by this re-gapping and non platinum plug change. Its a Autolite 764. My question is are you supposed to be showing a color change on the plugs on these late model cars? The plugs that are in it are only a couple months old and they look new out of the box. No porcelain color. (White) The ones I took out where Autolite Platinum 2s. I have a 190 fuel pump and new fuel filter and 40psi idling and just dont want to be lean when spraying. I plan to install the NOS line before the Mass air and then the computer is supposed to compensate with fuel. The guy at Compucar said I can even install in the air filter and bend it like a question mark pointing towards intake stream. Scary to think about the fuel compensation but everyone says it works and that a dry kit is best. Is this white porcelain on the plug normal with todays fuel and igniton? Im also changing the t-stat to 160 degrees from the 195 to help with detonation. The heat gauge is running about half way now. The mods on the car are cold air BBK,flowmasters,x-pipe,no cats,3.73 gear,drag radials,aluminum d-shaft,Steeda shifter,pulleys (Steeda)
Car runs 9.18 at 78 in eigth like it is with a crappy 60ft so far of 2.25
It might run a 9.00 on a good sixty ft run. Not bad for a 215 HP car when stock. Any comments or suggestions appreciated. Especially on plug color and that foirst dreaded spray to check the system. Ill start with like a 40 Im sure and pull plugs after a couple second burst. Any horror stries?
