I was going to change my plugs but was wondering how do you figure out what gap to set the plugs! So it seems I have a 65 stang with a 74 maverick block and perhaps heads from 76 or later! Currently has autolite plugs but the ones I pulled were burning where everything is white! So how to figure this out?

sounds like you have a lean fuel mixture, or the plug is too hot, i vote for the lean fuel mixture. i gap my plugs are .045" regardless of what motor i am putting them in, unless the distributor still has points, then i gap them at .040".
