This may be a dumb question but what is the reach of a spark plug? I dont know if this is another word for gap or what. Im trying to order some plugs from summit and and it has a couple different reaches for my car. There is .460 in. reach, .708 in. reach, and .807 in. reach. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The reach is how far the electrode sticks into the combustion chamber when properly screwed in. Too much reach is BAD! as the plug will interfere with valve/piston movements. Too little reach and you may have incomplete/improper combustion. That said...I have no idea what the proper reach is. Good luck.:D

A 1994 cobra with stock gt40 heads will use a NGK TR5 for a stock plug. One range colder is a TR6 and for 2 colder you need the irrid. plug that is like a TR7i or TRi7...or something.

Cross ref. that plug with other brands and you should be golden.

IMHO I would go with either a autolite or NGK plug.
