Speaker help for foxbody, opinions needed

I'm not the greatest with audio stuff but make sure you check the depth of the speaker before you cut because fox doors are extremely shallow so only shallow basket speakers fit right. I found that Pioneer 6.5's with a shallow basket would fit with only drilling new holes for the screws. I had some cheap three way Lightning Audio's in there but I had to use a spacer for the window to clear and as a result the door panel stuck out a little. You can get up to a 6x9 in the factory holes in the back on a vert and I think it's the same for the hatch but you might want to check me on that.

I would put those in the rear,put something better in the front,get a 4 or 5 channel amp for the full range and bass tube.

Depending on the crossover frequency will depend how the tube sounds,i put a 10" in my g/f's car and it sounds great

You should sell me the Infinitis and use that money to get the correct size speakers for the doors

Seriously though, just do that - don't cut the openings in your doors, especially since they make 6.5" components as well.

You don't NEED to amplify the rear speakers. You can run the rears off deck power and just amp the fronts. You will need to really bias your sound to the front speakers with this setup. Make sure to set the output level for the rears lower than the the fronts or they will distort sooner on deck power while your fronts will be just getting started to sound good on the amp power.

I had an 8" powered bazooka in an Escort hatch and then in a '93 Notchback. It wasn't any tighter, just louder in the hatch.
