I believe 6x8. Door panels are easy to remove, just takes time if you don't want to damage it. Go with some Alpine or Infinity speakers.

Ahh I can finally help someone w00t. Anywho door panels are a breeze like he afore mentioned above just takes alittle time if you dont wanna break any thing If you've never taken door panels off. I agree with the guy above but Kenwood's are also nice as to Alpine and Infinity as well. Try to avoid bestbuy or circuit city products as they tend offer the cheaper end of the spectrum but if you stick with 1 of the 3 and dont get super cheap 1's ull be very happy. But go Kenwood, Alpine or Infinity and you'll have beautiful sound without the need of lots of audio crap. Although only thing im not sure about is the amps (if you have them). My mustang came with amps not exactly sure if all do. But it might help to check what the RMS the amps put out (again if you have amps) because if they put out alot and you dont get speakers that can handle it bye bye speakers. The setup (In my car anyways) appears to be 1 amp for the front speakers the tweeter and speaker in that door are wired together it seems. And the other amp for the rear. (I.E. 2 speakers in left rear are wired to 1 channel while the other rear side are wired to channel 2 on that particular amp. The front is the same way with 1 tweeter + door speaker wired to channel 1 and the other side to channel 2) But i just glanced the setup cus I didn't really care but it seems wired that way. While im on the subject does anyone know what the RMS is on the amp that comes with the mustang? I got the 460 Mach sound system and I got 2 amps in the back. I wanna put new speakers in my mustang and new tweeters and am 2 lazy to check what the amps put out. If anyone knows lemme know. I got an 00' Mustang vert. Forgive me if its common knowledge that all mustangs come with that cus i dont know if the 460 mach sound is standard or not.
