Hey, could you explain what sort of problems you were having? My car has been having some odd issues lately that I think may be clutch related. There are times when driving it hard, it feels as if it slips just after the gear change before it really starts to accelerate. And it only has 7500 miles

SPEC sucks... Be ready for a new clutch in 20k miles or less! Many people on this site will tell you the same thing.

My SPEC made it 17k miles before slipping so badly that I had to have it changed!

I have the FRPP King Cobra now..its awesome!

Ford had a bad problem with the syncronizer failing in 99-00 T-45's. I know about 10 people who had the problem of getting the thing out of reverse after you use it..Eventually they got locked in reverse and Ford had to send out the warranty tow truck!

i only have 8000 miles on mine. my pos bimmer did the same thing at 25k miles, and it was slipping really bad. it initially felt like what my GT is doing now.

Specs seem to be hit or miss. Mine was a definate hit!!! I love my Spec Stage II man. 2nd best mod Ive done to the car. I have over 11,000 miles on my Stage II and it bites as good as the day it went in.
I just didnt do anything stupid to glaze it over like a lot of people do and it has been great for me. Pedal effort is a bit more than stock, but even my g/f can drive it very easily.
Also I had no chatter in mine at all.
Honestly I have no negatives to say about it, other than I need an adjustable quadrant to lower the catch point. The thing catches almost at the top of the pedal

I had some bad luck with SPEC with my last car but I sent that clutch back and they gave me an aluminum flywheel and a stage 3 clutch for the Stang. I'm hoping this one will be better. I plan on having the dealer put the stuff in when I take the car in for the TSB on the tranny.

no my spec doesnt chatter, And UNV matt i dont think they had any problems with the t45s syncros in 99 or 00 considering the t45 had been around 4 years prior to that but i could be wrong. My spec is definetly a hit. The problems i was having didnt have anything to do with my clutch ( i just had it replaced while they were they were warrantying my tranny) My 3650 tranny got so where i couldnt hit 3rd gear anymore at all and during cold weather it really didnt want to go into 2nd at all. Ford pulled the tranny and was going to do the syncro TSB on it but they couldnt get the syncro balls to mate with the mainshafts. So they decided to go ahead and put a 2004 brand new t 3650 in and that thing shifts like butter now!

Are you running the stock quadrant? becuase I had to get a new quadrant since the cable wouldnt reach (well it did but it caught so high it would "slip" a little) so if you still have the stock quadrant there is a chance you never have the clutch fully engaged, so I strongly suggest you get the Steeda Quadrant and Firewall Adjuster.
