I have a Spec Stage 1 in my 95. I like it, good feel and pedal effort comparable to stock.

But I have heard that Spec clutches hit pretty hard, and tend to break things. Not a problem on the street, but if you are going to do clutch dumps at the track you might want something a tad gentler.

I've used two of the clutches mentioned here. First I installed the FRPP HD(same as the FMS HD?)because of the price and description they had in the Summit catalog. This clutch felt like it was either on or off at first. After a couple thousand miles it felt smoother, but I ended replacing it after about 15K of STREET ONLY use because it was slipping pretty bad.

I then installed a SPEC stage 2 due to the FRPP failing so soon that I was willing to pay more for quality, and based on the positive comments on here. This clutch engages very smoothly and is not nearly as grabby as the FMS. I didn't like it at first because I thought it was slipping, but after taking it to the track I found out it actually grabs very good. I now have close to 20K miles on this clutch and it still feels as good as when I first installed it. My only complaint is that it is sometimes incossistent, mainly in traffic. One day it will feel great, then the next it feels like it's slipping. I think is mainly a temperature thing and when the clutch gets too hot it will start slipping.

A friend of mine had a SPEC stage 3 in his supercharged LT1 Camaro, which he completely melted. He showed me the disc and it was completely smooth. I dont think he ran it very long before this happened.

When I replace my clutch again I had planned on going with the Centerforce DF, but I'll definitely check into the ProMotion and McCleod clutches before ordering anything. Thanks for the info Pual!
