spec stage 3

FWIW, I don't know where to get one the cheapest.

But inquiring minds want to know, what are you doing that requires a Spec Stage 3 clutch? And, if this is for a T5, which presumably it is, I can assure you that you will be posting another thread in a short time after the clutch install asking which company sells the cheapest T5 rebuild kit.

Hahah exactly. Your mods dont even come close to warranting a spec stage 3 plus you are gonna break your tranny in no time. I have a Spec 1 with all my mods and it is plenty grabby.

The main reason people say the Spec III is harsh on T-5's is because they do not break it in properly. Mine use to chatter like a bitch. I called Spec several times about it. It has a 400 mile break in. Well at 350 miles it ran like a champ (chatter was gone). There is a very large red tag on the box that reads "400 MILE BREAK IN REQUIRED, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE." Then they wonder what happened.

If your mods do not add up to 400-600HP then don't bother with the Stage III.

i'll be boosted next week and should have my intake and heads with in the next 3 months, I'm pretty sure ill be to the 400hp mark before long. Plus I don't want to buy a stage one or two now and then in a few months need to buy a different clutch to handle the power. BTW on the t-5 note, when it goes, t-56 swap.

grabby clutch. break it in first. be good to it, then it'll be good to you later. :nice:

i noticed you are putting in the powerdyne with the 9lb. pulley. 400hp even with the cam and heads is going to be difficult. as far as what you said about the tranny though, if that is the case, i would go for a cheaper clutch since the input shaft is different and a t56 will require a new clutch as well. may as well save the money rather than spending it twice.
