speed bleeders

I ordered some russel speed bleeders from summit part no. 639590 I dont think this is the right one though cause it seems to short and narrow. Im not really sure. I took the original bleeder screw out. the threads on the speed bleeder do match the threads on the caliper but just a tad loose Am i missing something? I feel like an idiot. P.s. I hate summit's site

Not much help from me but here goes:

Speedbleeder.com gives "SB3824" as the part number for both front and rear GT calipers. BUT, I recall that when I bought mine (stock '98 calipers), the numbers are different. I have a vague recollection that the front was SB1010 but that is the Cobra caliper speedbleeder part number?? The two types look different, for sure. Anywho, I would call SpeedBleeder and see what they say. Or, you can run a search here for the correct p/n.

They have a little check valve in them so they shutoff when the fluid pressure gets to zero. First, you connect a length of tubing (into a collection bottle, open the SpeedBleeder about 1/4 of a turn, pump the brakes, and then go watch the fluid flow. Top up the master cylinder and when the fluid is free of bubbles and nice and clean, you close the SpeedBleeder. It makes bleeding your brakes a one-man job. Or, if you have a buddy help, the job goes that much quicker and brake fluid doesn't ooze all over the place. Good product, imho.

Take a look at "SpeedBleeder.com". They have a write-up of how to bleed your brakes using their products.
