Searching around I think I may have the problem narrowed down, but just in case...

Had the tranny fixed in the stang and it worked for a bit until it broke again. Anyway, I moved the car to a garage and noticed the speedo/mileage wasn't working and my CEL went on.

I'm assuming it has to be the power source, but what else can I look for?

I went from 3.73's back to 3.27's after the rear end went out (think it was tranny related) so the only thing I need to calibrate for is a 295/18" tire.

Check your fuses. While your manual says that it's the fuse box inside your car underneath the wheel (20 or 30, I don't remember), I found out that mine fuse problem was actually inside the engine bay on the driver's side box. It was a green, want to say big 25. Basically, my speed was all messed up, and I'd stall out at every other stop light. I swapped my fuses, and lost my sound through subs/amps, and I believe my turn signals, but the speed was dead on.

Although, since you swapped your transmission, chances are you're right with it not being connected to the power source, or a bad connection somewhere connecting to the transmission.
