Hey all,

Anyone here install a Dallas Mustang Speedo Calibration box on their 94-95 AODE? If so, how did you route the wires from the box (located in front of shifter, under dash) to the transmission (back-left side)?

Any tips, ideas?

on the 94-95's I think it's a lil plastic reduction gear to calibrate the speedo. even on the AODE's i have one but I haven't installed it yet..

I run a SpeedCal on my T-5 and the VSS isnt far from the shifter. Just wanted to clarify that you can run one on a 94/95 just maybe not the AODE.

Are you changing your gears? Or keeping the 3.27s? If keeping the 3.27s I beleive you can just swap the speedo gear.

If you go beyond 3.73s you'll have to use the Speed Cal.

Have you looked into going down through where the shifter is? There might be enough of a rubber seal there to protect the wires.

Very interesting... for sure let us know how it goes. My speedo has been off for long enough I doubt I would change anything, but it would be nice if I found a good deal on a calibrator.

I went from 2.73s to 3.73s back to 3.27s. My speed is always off because of my 315/35/17 tires in back. I tried changing speedo gears. I am now using this speedo calibartion box that will account for all those variables. I found out the best method from another person:

"There is already a hole dilled in the passenger side of the AODE shifter housing. Its used to access the shifter pivot bolt.

I just unbolted the shifter and lifted it up a bit. Then removed the gromet and ran the wires through. I used a liberal amount of black RTV to seal around the cable."

Yea my speedo is about 10mph faster than actual speed, but only past the 50mph mark. below that it's pretty close.
?Had a friend pace me while we were on the cell phones.

yea let us know how that thing goes and if i even have to install the reduction gear....
