I don't think they make a gear to correct that ratio. You'll have to choose bewteen the 4.10 and 3.73 speedo gears. www.50resto.com used to have a great pull down menu that made it easy to choose the right spedometer drive gear for your car.
Keep in mind you can make adjustments with tire size/height also. Running speedo gear for a 4.10 with a tire that's 5% taller than stock should even it out; conversely run a speedo gear for a 3.73 and a 5% shorter tire should work too.
Yes, but I think that negates the whole purpose of running the 3.90 gear. The 3.73 speedo gear is the closest match and should slow your speedo and odometer down, lol.
Most 83-89 T5s have the yellow output shaft gear and there is only one driven gear close to that ratio made for the drive gear - one for 3:73s and it is a red color driven gear (part #C40Z-A) .
90-95 cars have the Green Drive gear and for that FRPP does not make one for any gear over 3:27......
