I let my 95 set-up for about 10 months. After installing a new battery I cranked her up and went out to blow out the cobwebs and now the speedo and odometer do not work. They were working when I parked the car. There are only 42,000 miles on the clock.
But since your speedometer is not working then I would check to make sure the harnesses are clean. After 10 months (garaged or open air??) the contacts may be corroded.
