if i have the 85 speedo cluster and i got a 140 spedo cluster from another stang could i just swap it without having to change anything or get it recalibrated?

It will work as long as it is from the same year.

For example, one from a car with an airbag will not just swap for one without an airbag, and vise versa.

Can't you cut off a corner of the speedo (from an airbag stang) to fit in a 87-89?
