spent way to much time looking

like the title says i spent alot of time looking for some info i need prolly looking in the wrong places. my question is on a 4.6l 4v is there a way to time the cams without the tool yes or no if so how and will it still allow me to time the cams to the crank correctly any info will be great thank you all

The questions doesn't quite make sense. What tool are you talking about and what state is the car in now?

Is the car currently have the timing chains on and timed correctly (running)? If so, there is a tool to help you replace the cams without pulling the front cover. I basically helps you hold the cam sprockets up and keep the tension on the chains while you swap cams. If that is your goal, then the tool will work great.

If the car is currently not timed correctly or has slack in the chains, then you need to pull the front cover and re-time it using the marks on the crank sprockets and cam sprockets.
