Was wondering if anyone here has picked up a set of Spin-Tech Sportsman Street Mufflers and what you think of them?

I'm considering going with these on my next build mainly because no one around here has them and it'd be nice to have something a little different than the usual Flowmaster sound that everyone and their dog has (I've come to hate Flowmasters because of that reason)..... but I'm not sure what kind of sound volumes the Spin-Tech Sportsmans will put out on a system with longtubes and 2.5" offroad x-pipe.

I've got a set of Dynomax Ultraflows on my current '83 GT with E/L shorties and straight-piped 2.5" exhaust, but they're too loud at idle for what I'd prefer.

I like the Magnaflow sound because it's fairly mild at idle but opens up as you gas it, but I have a feeling that these Spin-Techs are going to be more like the Ultraflows I've already got. Correct?

I have them. You will love the sound. They are loud though. I have flowtech shorties, an x-pipe, sportsmans and 2.5 flow tails. I swapped out my flow 40 series for them. And I'm never switching back. The only thing I want now is 3 inch tails.

Yeah, 40 series is what I took off. And they will never go back on.
