I replaced my Super 40s with a pair of the Sportsmans and love them. My car sounds MUCH deeper and louder than before and very little to no drone. The thing I really love now is when I get on my car I can hear it, you couldn't when the Flows were on ... they got quiet in the higher rpm's. These things rock!

Sorry, no sound clips unless someone in Pgh. wants to make one for me.

About a year ago, I swapped out the stock stuff for a Mac H-pipe and Spintech catback with 200 miles on the odometer. The sound was great, but the install was botched at the shop and never looked right. My only problem was it drew attention from everyone...which meant I got strange looks from the the five-o's and that worried me slightly. I now have a Magnaflow CB and UPR X-pipe which sounds great in its own way, but I wish I had the Spintechs back.

Yeah, these are great and I'll never go back after finally hearing them in person on mine. It's nice to know that I no longer have Flows or 'flows on my car like everyone else and their mother.

Exhaust change # 10?
You convinced me to your previous combo.. is this new one that much better?

I had a Mac o/r H with my Sportsmans when I had them. It sounded great until about 4k-4.5k and then they sounded like burnt-out glasspacks. I still remember driving around when I first got them installed. I'd been out cruising around and when I finally put my foot in it, I was like "How the hell are these chambered mufflers making noise like that?" That was the only part I didn't like about them (other than the botch-job the shop did installing them). I believe that sound was caused by the H-pipe because the ones with X-pipes I have heard do not sound like that.

where'd u get em and how much? Do they sound good with an offroad H pipe? I want something a little deeper and lower yet have a racey sound.

I ordered them through www.hiperformancemustang.com for $228.95 to my door ... that's for flow tubes and mufflers. You would probably like these with an O/R H ... they sound deep even with my catted X. The rule of thumb for these (from what I heard) is to run the Sportsmans with an O/R pipe and the ProStreets with a catted pipe. I'm glad I chose the Sportsmans because the sound is perfect for me. Had I followed that rule and got the Pro Streets ... they would most likely be overkill for me.

The ProStreets are the loudest, Sportsmans (what I have) are kinda in the middle and the Sportsman XL's are even more quiet. I never imagined these would sound so deep when I put them on since the case is smaller than the Flows I had on. These are 4x8.5x13 and the Flows were 5x10x13.5.

You can find out more at www.spintechmufflers.com

im glad to hear you guys have good opinions with the spin techs. Im defn thinking im gonna order these very soon along with my upr x pipe. Is there anyone else that knows where to get these from?
I saw highperformancemustang.com any others? I cant wait to get these things on soundes like they are one of the best chambered mufflers out there!

Whats the purpose of the flow tubes? Can I just order the mufflers, have the muffler shop cut out my stock mufflers, then weld the new ones in place, or do I need these tubes as well? Thanks

you sure can...matter of fact, make sure you have your muffler shop order them for you since they can get a cheaper price from the warehouses or distributors and have them include the labor price as part of the whole package...my shop charged me $85 per muffler for labor and parts.

OK cool. Thanks Boomshack. I planned on getting the mufflers installed (bought them lastnight)then, at a later date, getting better headers and hi flow cats. I was going to get 2.5" pipe ran back from the cats at the last stage of my exhaust mods.
