Spoiler or No Spoiler?

When drying spoiler area, work a bath towel underneath and hold both ends. Wipe one way pulling up on the towel and the other way pushing down. Ditto with the sides.

As for spoiler or no spoiler, our cars develop "personalities" as we mod them so it depends on the car. I'm keeping mine because I don't want to fill holes.

313's setup is awesome with the blackouts and the rims. Are they TSWs and what size?

Thanks Bluecar, I'll definitely give the bath towel method a whirl..I'll also be keeping my spoiler as well for the same reason and don't see anything wrong with how it looks but if for some reason I end up getting bored with it ? The Shelby GT 500 spoiler will be my next choice as it fits the trunk lid perfectly and retains the factory holes..:nice:

red05, here is a shot that shows the size difference between the '65 and the '05. This is the only pic I have, so it's not useful for comparing the trunks.

ill postwhore bobs 65 fastback. :D in case you have not seen this car, it is a 65 body, with complete 03 cobra chassis/drivetrain made to all look 100% factory. bob went over the top with the details! there is a thread in the classics forum here. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=513328 or you can check out www.sn65.com and click on the SN65 project in the upper left corner. :nice:

WOW !! now that's what I call a 65 fastback to die for lol.. However other than the current S-197 being larger in overall width over the 65 ? I really can't tell the difference one way or the other..perhaps it's just me but the rear overhang appears to look about the same length on both the 65 fastback and S-197...but then again it's kind of difficult to tell when just looking at a picture..In the meantime, I'll once again be looking forward in checking out all the 65-66 fastbacks in person when car cruise season begins this upcoming May..:D

I ordered mine without the spoiler as well. I just think it lends to a "cleaner" look overall.

My main reasoning for it was that a) the spoiler is not functional, b) the spoiler blocks the rear view mirror line of sight, c) it adds extra weight, d) if I decided later to remove it, I'd have holes in the trunk.

I'm very happy with my GT not having a spoiler. I personally love the way it looks, and in addition, I've had a lot of compliments on how great it looks.
