Spout out timing with boost

In the process of making sure an upcoming blower dosent mess up my car. I need a few suggestions. I think i want 9psi with a vortech t trim
Pro-m 80mm MAf
42's injectors
No FMU
So my car has the A9l processor in it and i was thinking of instead of running a BTM i would just set my timing at around 27* and leave the spout out. Is this an okay idea? The reason i dont want the BTM is because it just seems like they could break, or not work right and i dont really wanna install it either . Am i right beleiveing they are not safe or should i just go ahead and get one and install it?

i dont know about the parts - but a few guys with blowers run locked out timing. Big Bernie is one in here, that i can think of (have not seen him in awhile - user name is something like ProSC5.0, i think). a lot of the SN guys do it, even N/A, cuz of all the pinging issues they have.

Yep I run locked timing @ 12 PSI.

you were the other one i was thinking of (after your battle the other day, with the guy who did not want to run locked out timing. DOH).

i could not think of your user name (and i did not think "JR" would help him, esp since i refer to Jrichker as JR over here).
