Anyone know if there is any place to get this tool (http://www.dmstools.com/master/otc7928.htm) for a cheaper price? Thanks

Autozone will loan you one for free. You just have to leave a security deposit that you get back when you return it. Unless for some reason you plan on needing one often enough to buy your own.

Is there a specific spring compressor that I should ask for when renting from autozone or will they know which one I need from telling them which car I have?

Is there anywhere else that may have a spring compressor available. I had called autozone yesterday and they said they had them. Went today and they didn't even know what I was talking about. and didn't have them. I wanted to do my cam install tomorrow, but now I don't have anything to compress my springs.

The problem with renting one is that they may not have one that works on a mod motor head. Notice in the picture at your link that the spring compressor has an odd shape. Its that way for a reason.

I'm planning on buying one and then selling it when I'm done with it.

Thats what the problem ended up being at autozone. They only had compressors for OHV motors.

Hrm, nifty little tool. I imagine it would cut down in installation costs on a cam install if I had something like that, correct?
