Spring install height?

Hey guys, I've got a big dilemma. I dropped my heads and springs off at the shop but I don't know the spring install height, and Ed C is away on vacation so I can't get in touch with him currently. I was wondering if anyone could help me out or would it be best to wait on ed to get back? The heads are AFR 165s, the specs on the springs are as follows:

Would the 135# at 1.825" be the correct spec? If that is it I can relay it to my machine shop and I can get them heads done quickly. Thanks a lot.

if thats what the spring spec say then thats correct they should be able to check the pressure at that installed height, 135 is normally what a hydralic roller would run at valve stem hieght, and spring pocket depth determine the installed height, these things can easily be checked by any good machine shop

So the 1.825" is what you would tell them? He told me thats what he needed to know.

The stock AFR height that the heads origionally have is 1.800-1.815. Ed Curtis set up the kit with shims that will get you .030 longer than the stock height. He does this by suggesting that people remove the srping cup which measures .060 and replacing it with the included .030 shim. So basically the shim with the kit will get you .030 longer than stock since you are removing the .060 cup and only adding a .030 shim. Since stock height is 1.800-1.815, .030 longer equals 1.830-1.845. Ed does this so you won't have to guess at a bunch of shims and makes this kit a drop-in replacement that basically shims off the stock height. In most cases this works good unless your stock height is off. As far as your question goes I would set the installed height to what he suggests at 1.830. If you goe to 1.825 you will probably be ok but I would still set it to the specs.
