spring install help

i got a set of steeda springs and am working on installing them. these are the instructions i've been using: http://www.stangnet.com/tech/spring.html , the back ones are in there good, but i'm having trouble with the fronts. the bolt on the back of the caliper is on there so tight that neither me or any of my friends could get it off. does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it off? thanks.

The factory uses red lock tite on the caliper bolts. If your calipers have never been off before, then you will need a big breaker bar. Torque is 85 ft/lbs so put some effort into it they will come off.

if i remember right, i heated the bolts up and used a breaker bar. the heat helped a lot!

I didn't take the caliper bracket off, just the caliper itself. That was much easier and I haven't had any issues since reinstalling them. Screw taking the bracket bolts off and just remove the caliper itself.

When you say just take off the caliper, are you talking about removing the two smaller bolts on the inside? I would assume the bracket is the two larger bolts on the outside (have not really looked yet)...Some of the install instructions I have read conflict, some say remove the two outside bolts and some say remove the two inside bolts...Just curious as I am installing my Steeda Sports and Tokico HP's tomorrow morning...

Only remove the caliper! Yes, the 2 smaller bolts and the caliper will slide off.

between that link, http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/steedaspring1.htm, and a haynes manual...there is more than enough information to figure out how to take the whole suspension apart.

but as was said before.....push harder and soak it with WD-40
