Are polyurethane spring isolators thicker than the stock rubber ones. I've read that they raise the ride height by 1/2 inch. Is this because they are new, or because they are thicker than the stock ones? The reason I ask is because I have a set of FRPP "B" springs and they only lower the car 7/8 inch in the front-which is perfect for me- but I can't have isolators take 1/2 inch away from me.

I have heard that urethane isolators raise the car about 3/8-1/4 of an inch. Urethane is less flexible than rubber, so I think that is the reason why you don't get as much of a drop from the urethane pieces. Since you don't want to risk having the urethane isolators raise the car, you should atleast replace the stock rubber with new rubber. I know that 50resto sells the rubber.

Thanks for the reply. Your point about them being less flexible/squishable makes sense.
