Just droped my car 1 1/2 inches in the back. The sway bar is very close to the magnaflow exaust and clunks on some bumps.Any ideas.Could i air chisel a dent in the exaust where it hits.Or does the sway bar move?If a picture will help it can be done.

The Sway Bar doesn't move. You could air chisel a dent in the exhaust if you want, but it can't be good for the flow. In this instance, you've got to do what you've got to do.

To be honest, If I were you I'd drive down to my local exhaust shop and have them take a look - it's amazing what they can do with a little heat!

I had the same problem....my exhaust hit on large bumps though. What you have to do is loosen up the whole catback and slide everything to the rear of the car. It looks like it was installed by pressing all the pieces together as far as they would go. You just need to make sure that there is enough overlap so there is no exhaust leak.

i had it heated and smacked the **** out of it with a flat piece of metal with a hammer. its kind of a crap job but it did the trick. i just hope it wont rust. i doubt it.

I had that problem with my magnaflows when i first put them on...on large bumps bam i heard the clang..i checked the rear bar and behold I culd tell exactly where it was hitting the bar cuz it was leaving a silverish mark...anyway pull out the pipe that goes over the axle a little out of the muffler and then tighten it with the C clamp...(it should be like halfway out not flush with the muffler) that should take care of it hopefully ,,,is what alot of guys with this prob did...altho my car is stock height so you may have done this already

This is a concern I have whenever I consider lowering my GT (currently on stock suspension now). My magnaflows occasionally hit the swaybar whenever I drive over a large bump or dip and I'm wondering if lowering it with springs will make it even worse. Problem #2 is I already have the tips welded so I understand that would make it even more difficult to readjust the catback.
