I want to buy a shift kit and springs for my 92 vert. The only mods are just exhaust. So now that I have a little spending cash, the fun starts.

1. What springs should I get that will lower my vert about an inch on all four corners? I was looking at the B's; are those good? I want something that won't compromise ride quality?

2. What shift kit should I get? I was looking at Transgo, but I don't know if they are crap?

Any suggeestions would be cool.

Im not sure about lowering springs,I bought drag racing springs. As far as shift kits go,there are a few really good ones,Trans-Go kits are not crap, they are one of the best for mustangs. There not overly harsh, and they actually can prolong the life of your tranny.Do yourself a favor and get a good Stall Converter also,it will really wake up your stang

So the Transgo is a green. So do you shift you're AOD manually? How is shifting under normal conditions? As for as the converter, which one is best? Which stall is best with the stock cam?

Anyone else on the springs?

The "B" springs lowered my car about an inch. For me ride quality is fine.
I had the Trans-Go kit in my 95. It worked as advertised. In my 88 I have a Performance Automatic street/stip valve body. Less hassle installing the valve body and not having to take it apart.
Three things that wake an AOD car: gears, converter, shift kit.

Shifting in normal conditions are excellent!! When shifting manually you can only hold the 1-2 shift, and the 3-4 shift, because of the shifter. The kit shifts it at 53--5400 rpm when the shifter is in the "D" position. The best conv.,IMO,,is the stallion, made by Precision Industries. It will last the longest, and it gives the best performance www.converter.com With the stock cam,2400 is the perfect stall speed. I have a 2800,its a little loose, but still works very well.

So under normal conditions you just leave it in OD and it shifts by itself and if you want to shift up you can?

I'll be looking at the Stallions then? Any other converters that are good in quality for price comparison?

Anyone esle on springs?
