I need to drop my car, desperately. It looks like a truck. I have one question, it is hard to find springs for a convertible, so what would happen if i put hardtop springs in my convertible????? i know it will lower it a little more, but by how much?? I want to put an Eibach Pro-Kit by the way, any other suggestions??????

I have a 2001 convertible and I have the pro kit. They make springs specific to the verts. Mine dropped around 1.5". Check the application guide and it will tell you the right code for the convertible...

I know they make them for the convertible, but im just curios to see what would happen if i put coupe springs in because i can get them for cheaper from a friend.

It's a guess, but I understand that the verts tend to be heavier than coupes. With that said, if you use coupe springs, the car may drop more than expected. I'd also wonder about ride quality and the spring's ability to return after compression. I'd personally play it safe and use the springs that are made for the vert. If it didn't matter, they probably wouldn't make different springs

I agree with darkhorse, if it didn't make any difference they wouldn't have to make springs specific to that car...
