I have Steeda Sports, 1.25 inch drop according to their site. Not as low or should i say slammed as you wanted but gives you an idea.

ya im trying to stay away from slamming her down, i got buddies that do 2.1''drop and its a ruff ride... not too bad on the bumps and rub cuz its gutted, so i thought a lil higher would be good for me. but you got the 1.25 all around? it looks good too and ur notch, ok how about 1.50 all around? you think thats overkill .. also my car sits a lil higher after i did the engine swap out....... im thinking 1.25 might be for me.. is the installation difficult?

You are never going to dial in an exact drop. Too many variables. What drops one car 1.25" might drop another car 1.5".

You should really pick the springs for their rates and how they match up to a shock/strut combo. You should think of it as a package and not just going for a drop.

Btw...96 cobra wheels are 17x8 not 17x9

To be honest, I can't even recommend a setup because it's something you need to research and decide for yourself. I run tokico adjustable shocks and struts with Mach 1 springs because they did not lower the car much but improved handling greatly. But yor needs could be different. The steeda springs recommended are also good, as are h&r springs from maximum motorsports. Unfortunately you just won't be able to pick a spring based on drop others have seen.

As for the wheels, maybe I am thinking of the wrong wheels. 96 don't come 4-lug but maybe you have the 95 or 03 cobra wheels which do and come 17x9.

No 4 lugs for sn95s. So, those rims are definitely aftermarket, and therefore those rims can be ANY SIZE.

Heck, they look like 12x4 to me. J/K
But, as I said, since those rims are not Ford OEM production rims, they can be any width at all. There is no way of telling without measuring or looking for a size stamp on the rim (often on the inside).

Also, looking at the center and the outside portion of the rim where the rim bead area is, I do not think those are FRPP rims. They look like an aftermarket rim.
