I figured this was technical enough to qualify for tech.

I have been researching lowering springs and really want a low stance. The lowest I have found is these Sprint Lowering Springs that lower 2 inches in the front and rear. Eibach is another consideration, but does not lower as much. I am a little worried about ride quality with the Sprint Springs.

Anyone have any experience with these springs? Any suggestions?

Thanks

The Eibach Sportlines will lower your car 1.7 inches in the front and 1.5 in the rear. Your ride quality will go down when lowering your car, no matter what name brand spring you get... if you drive the car all the time, I wouldn't go more than a 1.5 inch drop... but that's just me.

Also, with such a drastic drop (2 inches), you will need caster/camber plates, but you probably knew that already.

Im getting the Eibach pro-kit for my vert with some new shocks/shocks (KYBs). It is going to be a 1.2 inch drop in the front and a 1 inch in the rear... I will let you know how it feels compared to the 63K stock suspension.

Also, get some new isolators, they should help with the ride quality a little bit.

Im sorry, I don't know anything about the Sprint Springs.

Good luck.

lowering the car anymore than 1.5 inches will destroy the ride, make sure to put in good shocks and struts and the same time, or spend the money and get coil overs 1600 bucks is alot but i haven't regretted it for a second

also remember if your goin for low, you HAVE to get C/C plates...the springs i got (FMS B) were sposed to lower bout an inch and i went through 2 tires that were practically brand new in no time...

Just curious? Did you get an alignment afterwards? I have had many friends with FMS B springs with no C/C's and they don't have tire wear issues.

Another question I have is does someone make drop spindles for the 79 - 93 mustangs? That would give me the stance I want without the severe deteriation in ride quality.

If not I guess I will have to settle for a slightly higher stance.

Thanks

I would consider the H&R Supersport springs. They are of good quality
and will drop your car about 1.8-2.0".

Bullit springs on mine, no C/C plates. Tire wear is no issue.

ya i got an alignment, but not right away. I really think while your in there you should change those lower A arm bushings if you havent...i regret it now because i think they are wearing and maybe that was part of the reason i had bad alignment at first

The car I may be purchasing has 68 000 km or a little over 40 000 miles. I don't think the bushings will need to be replaced yet.

I do I have a question though. At what point would C/C plates be useful? It is obvious that a 2 inch drop would probably need them, but what if I went with H&R or Eibach Sportline springs where the drop is 1.7/1.8 inches? Is it necessary then?

Thanks
