sputtering problem?

own a 99 GT and just replaced the upper intake, picked it up today and when i hit the throttle in all gears it sputters. i think it might be the fuel inj. or maybe the spark plugs, any advice??

Did you unplug the battery to reset the comp?

Check all your snap ons first. Throttle body plug in, mass air plug in,that little sensor plug in your rubber air intake, fuel injector clips(unclip and re-clip each one),the two hoses that go to you rubber intake.

Follow wires and hoses as you go make sure each one is plugged in. Touch everything around your intake.Make sure it snaps in or is connected.

Start there.

Second,listen to each of your injectors with a rubber hose or a long screwdriver.
If the ide is not just perfect or slightly rough you need to check your plug wires and make sure they are on good(un plug and re plug each one) , its a good time to change your plugs if you need to.

Next your replaced intake could be leaking is it new?

yes, the intake is new, had to replace because it cracked(like all of them)
when i got the car back had to reset clock and radio, so i think the battery was disconnected. if not is there any length of time i should disconnect it for?

same problem here but mines a 97 gt with a 2001 pi intake runs like shyt! i checked everyhitng though

Sounds like a burnt plug wire. Check them all?
