THE 51ST STATE!!
hey guys,

When ever i turn the wheel at either low speed or stationary i get a squeak from the front of the car, after doing a bit of searching on here i came up with a lot of answers but nothing specific.

I have a 98 with 40,000 miles on her.

what could it be?

steering rack bushings?

inner and/or outer tie rod ends?

is this a known problem?

and what do i need to fix the problem? (pictures would be fantastic if poss)

Thanks guys

Simon

You've pretty much got the list down. I had the same thing a while back and I first replaced my swaybar bushings with MM urethane ones. That helped a little but not much. Then I replaced my tie rod ends with MM urethane ones. That didn't do anything either but at least I had new tie rod ends.

For my fix it was my steering rack bushings. I put urethane ones in from MM and it fixed my problem 100%.

I found a couple pics ...
