check the condition of your belt first off. Next take some wd-40 and try just a little tiny squirt on one of the pulleys...then do it again for each one at a time untill the squeeking stops...then check that pulley for any signs of undue wear

where the shaft inserts through the pulley...you shredded a belt? hmmm how many miles did it have on it? Make sure all your pulleys are true, not wiggly at all. Also recheck the bolts mounting your SC to the motor, make sure there is no wiggle there either

I ate a belt at around 16k with my procharger p-1sc...supercharger idler pulley got worn down bad and tore up the belt....replaced with reichard racing pulley.

Is this squeal something you notice through out the boost range, or just at 1500? Reason i ask, is because i'm fighting a similiar battle right now...Does it kinda sound like if you take a piece of grass and blow across it and make that buzzing noise?

Should the pulley on the supercharger move in and out...on mine it does a little bit, not a lot but enough to notice when i had the belt off tonight.

yea it ate the belt. it slips pretty bad so i didnt know if that could be causing it or not i got about 7000 on the procharger and motor right now. when i get 1500 rpm and above it squeaks or squeals or something along those lines but if it is just at an idle then it does squeak or squeal whatever you want to call it. where do you get the richard racing pulley for it, how much and how can you tell if it is worn down or not? thanks alot

also check your belt tensioner, Ford had a problem wth them and came out wth a re-vised "steel" tensioner, its black in color. the original ones were aluminum and over time were prone to bending or bowing(more so on a blower car) causing the belt to not track straight, pitch and shread. also if its(aluminum tensioner arm) is bent the pulley will not ride square on the belt and cause the belt noise

Your pulleys should not wiggle or otherwise move at all. Any fluctuation in the belt path will cause deterioration of the belt and lead to early failure. This is why you want to do the lube check on each pulley to determine if one of them is getting toasty.
