i have a problem. No matter what belt i put on my car, it always seems to squeak. I checked the tension and all... If it helps, my car seems to be a belt car, it tends to throw belts, at the track i threw on half track, good thing it didnt do any dammage. But, there is a new belt on my car now and it is still squeaking. Every time i rev it, i hear it squeak. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Check to see if your belt is running true, or straight from pulley to pulley. I would suspect that if you changed the belt and you still have the noise it might be your altenator, or your water pump. The bearing in either one could be the culprit. Pull the belt off and check to see if you have play in the alt pulley. Also make sure the belt is sitting in the pulleys correctly.

It'd probably be a good idea to check over your pulleys very carefully to make sure they are straight. On my car the crank pulley was bent in 3 places from the P.O. trying to beat/pry it off. A little pounding of my own got it back fairly straight and haven't had any problems since.
