squeaky brakes

so i read in a thread somewhere from Kilgore Trout that there was something he sprayed on he rotors or pads or somewhere to stop some light squeaking. i have that same problem and i am gonna have everything apart to paint my calipers too so i was gonna try and take care of this problem too. what was the stuff he was talking about?

The only thing I have sprayed my rotors down with is brake cleaner.

Perhaps you are thinking of the grease that goes on the back side of the pads? You can buy this at any auto parts store. Its usually called brake quiet or something like that...

There is a spray you spray on your rotors that is supposed to stop them from squeaking. It basically looks like silver spray paint. There's also anti squeak you spray on the back of the pads. Just go to to the parts store and look for squeakstop or something like that for rotors.
