Hey everyone,

I had a '66 coupe in school and just picked up a '97 GT a few weeks ago. I have noticed that there is a loud squeeking noise coming from the front passenger side when I turn the wheel. Also, there is a chirping noise when I hit bumps. I have gotten a couple of opinions from people one being the tie rods and the other being the wheel bearing. Any ideas?

Thanks

I vote tie rods for the squeaking when turning, and over bumps. However, it could also be two different things. Ie. tie rods when turning, and shocks chirping over bumps.

Try lubing up the tie rods with Cheetah Lube. That's what most dealers use and it is a temporary fix, but Mustangs are known for crappy, noisy tie rods.

Hope that helps some.
