no. they gave me a ground wire that was less than 2 feet long. I had to attach that to one of the bolts that go through the floor to make it work. I just felt it was better insurance to run a cable straight to the motor like originally intened by Ford. I want to make sure I don't have any electrical gremlins like many others have run into after relocating the battery. I also ran a 4 gauge wire from the battery post to the bolt holding the box to the floor. THen I took some more 4 gauge and attached it to the same bolt that sticks up through the lid and ran the other end of that wire over to my shock mount. Its good to be well grounded.
I want to make sure that I have plenty of contact and low resistance. A little over engineering doesn't hurt.
That 1 gauge is gonna make sure that there is plenty of current flow.
But still, long grounds are not recommened in any application. You will find that you will be going through batterys alot with a longer ground.

Striped5.0 what brand of gears did you buy and what was the gear that you replaced? Im looking to go from 3.08 to 3.73 but cant find a mechanic locally that I can trust.

I bought a set of FMS ( Ford Motor sport ) 3.55's used off Ebay for $100 and there in Mint shape. The stock gearing in mine is 2.73 now some of the GT's came w/ 3.08's but I got the crappy 2.73's. Chris and I are putting them in tomorrow, should be a whole new diffrent car after there in, I'll be able to get up into the boost and the RPM's alot quicker.

I was lucky and got the 3.08. Looking to buy some 3.73.

My friend chris just took a set of 3.73's out of his car, there in mint shape. There used but so is there pair that is going in mine. The gear tooth pattern on mine is mint, we got half way through the install today before he had to go to work but we will finish it up tomorrow. Im sure he would be willing to sell you his 3.73's since hes got 3.55's in there now.

We got as far as putting the rear end back together. We were in the process of putting the crush sleve on. WOW !!!! that damn thing DOES NOT WANT TO GO ON. Guess were going to have to put some muscle into it tomorrow. After thats on the rest should be cake.

Ok boys, I got the Plasma Booster installed. At first I figured that it wouldn't be that noticable, but WOW!! The install was pretty strait forward. When I first took it out of the box, I was like, "this is it!!!!???" Big difference!! The low RPM hintching is gone, and she pulls quite a bit harder too. The throttle response is nice too. I am def. impressed by it!! I'm sure my results are far better then you would notice in a N/A car, do to the fact of the blower. I'm happy!!

Has anyone experienced the hanging idle and surge, if so what did you do to correct it. Ive done everything I could find on the net but nothing has worked.

My idel will hang sometimes when I shift, its notorious for the 94/95's I hear of people haveing that prob all the time, Im not sure what yr yours is but mine will do it from time to time.

i had problems with the surging idle. Put a idle plate on it and helped out alot. The part is only about $20. Its a simple little plate that goes between the IAB and the trottle body. It has 2 screws on the sides so you can let more air into the engine than the IAB would by its self. My car wouldn't idle before. IT would keep stalling on me unless I turned up the idle screw or kept my foot on the gas. It sucked. First I would make sure that you douche out the IAB with some Carb cleaner then gently clean the wires inside the mass air meter with some BRAKE cleaner. The sensor wires are very delicate and mine were coated with oil and crud from my K&N filter. Doing those two things helped my idle previously before I started doing a bunch of mods.

thats why batteries come with warranties :D .
Besides I also have some short ground wires right there at the battery that are grounded to the body.

Sorry Striped but Im looking to get quicker, as far as the idle my next step is to try the plate. I cleaned th IAB about a dozen times and also cleaned my MAF. It had a bunch of crud do to my oiling my filter. I also did my 10 pin connectors with no luck.

:nice:

My idle sometimes surges, from about 800 rpms up to 1100, then back down. Maybe my MAF needs to be cleaned? I don't really dare to clean it, afraid I'll break those wires.
