Hit Or Miss for our Dyno day.

Im still going but it dosent look good as far as dynoing the car again. My power pipe may not be shipped in time b/c its on back order and after calling up SPEC today and telling them about my clutch problems it dosent look like the adjustible clutch quadrent will solve it. I told him all the issues I was having w/ the SPEC II and that it was well beyond the break in period and still slipping. They said and I quote... " It sounds like a contamination problem" Which brings us back to the install time when it was sprayed w/ WD-40 :nonono: :nonono: . They said if its still slipping after the quadrent install then my best option is to take it out and send it back to them so they can look at it. They were very good about it, he said that we wont stick you w/ having to pay for a new clutch so even if the clutch is trashed they might give me a discount on a new one. They said the Kevlar on the clutch will soak up any kind of contaiments and once the clutch gets heated up like in the upper RPM's it will slip, which is what mine is doing.

You have not had too much luck this year, have you bro? It seems like everyone has had at least some kind of problem.

Fred, I still plan on coming over on Sunday. 9am sound good to you? I have not driven the beast too many times in the past couple weeks. Mostly because I need an oil change, but also because of all this crappy weather :nonono:

yeah it hasent been the best yr, yet again this is the most Ive ever modded the car either. Remember at the Gardiner show when I said that I'll prob end up needing to get a whole new clutch, that may not be to far off from the truth. I just want to get the clutch problems fixed, get the power pipe on, and get my exhuast and hopefully will have enough time to make a late season dyno run. The other stuff is not as important but if I dont get that cluch issues resolve then its no more dyno runs and no track runs this yr :(

Last week I found that one of my exhaust hangers on the tailpipe was starting to rip off of the pipe. I think its the same side Chris had problems with.
Talked with Chris on Friday. He said he got pulled over for driving Travis' POS truck back to Travis' house. I guess he and the wife got tired of having it in their back yard. Luckily the cop let him off with a warning.
I plan on going to the dyno next weekend. THe last dyno just left me with questions because of the inconsistent pulls. I hope to have my new coil in time but not sure it will happen.

Won't be making it to the dyno day. Got too many bills and things on my "I Want" list to take a day off from work.

Do you guys want to do the mustangs vs. camaros thing on the following sunday, Aug. 1st, or you guys (and gals) could come out here for a lobster feed/BBQ?

The Dyno day and larrys lobester feast are on 2 diffrent days.
Yes, that was my point. You guys could do the dyno day on sat, and head up here on sunday, or we could do the winterport mustangs vs. camaros thing on sunday. I was thinking I wanted to go to winterport if I got my tranny fixed, but it doesn't look like thats gonna happen this week. I can't do the dyno day cause of work and anyway I haven't done any mods. But if I didn't have to work I'd go just to see those TT's run. :D

I am up for either one , Larry :D It would be nice to try and smoke a few f-bodies though....

You just want to see me drop my tranny, don't you? :(
Seriously though, epping is a 2-3 overnight trip for me. So, I could make it down there maybe 1-2 times a year if everything falls into place just right, and still I'd be missing a bunch of work. However, winterport is an easy one night trip, no work missed if on a sunday. :nice: And my nittos NEED a heat cycle. But life out here in August ain't bad either. :D

Nobody else wants to chime in?
