If it's the oil cooler, it will come out of the weep hole in the bottom of it.Badstang00 said:Well guys, I am going to be tackling my oil leak myself today. I have a suspicion that it is coming from the o-ring on the oil cooler, or the gasket that is between the oil cooler adapter and the block. I stopped at Ray Haskell Ford yesterday, and picked up 2 new gaskets. If this is not the source of the problem, then I still have an appointment with Wiscasset Ford next Saturday. They are supposed to fix my rear window(bad seal), my wing(tape is showing again), and locate the source of the leak. Hopefully I will at least have the leak taken care of by then. Once I know the leak is taken care of, it's time to hit the track guys!
No it never through a code. Things just get worse by the minute though! After takeing the head off I found #2 piston was burned up around the edge faceing inward, it basicly melted the top of the piston down to the top ring. The clyinder doesn't look really bad so I am going to run a ball hone through it slightly and replace the piston and rings. When I get it back together I decided I am going to sell the car. I am tiered of working on this car all the time and when I get the engine back together I know it will be completely fine, but I will always worry about it doing this crap again. I talked to Pete and asked him some questions and he thought maybe it was do to bad gas or possible top end runs. I have done maybe two or three top end runs on the turnpike against other cars, but if the car can't handle something little like that, then I guess I better sell it!Badstang00 said:So did yours throw a code? If so, what was it?![]()
that sucks bro! You should keep the car though. Maybe a bad injector??cyazo6 said:No it never through a code. Things just get worse by the minute though! I saw the Trans Am on the dyno cam......that thing is sick!whitehorseupnorth said:There was a twin turbo big block Trans Am there. You had to see this thing run. 23psi C16 gas = 860rwhp & 840rwtq. The rear tires looked like jello when he ran. They wrinkled like slicks at the track. You had to see the car!!!!!

Hard on equipment is no doubt, my cars aren't no trailer queens like some other ones I know of. I always drive them hard and I have certianly wrecked a few in the past, but thats what insurance is for! As for driveing without it dyno tuned I did, but I wasn't that hard on it before I got to Pete's and even then I had a tune down loaded from him that he said was safe to get it to him on. I am not the original owner of the car either so who knows what the car went through before I got it.whitehorseupnorth said:It wouldn't happen to be that your hard on equipment. Seems like every car you have you end up wrecking it. Didn't someone tell you not to beat the car, untill you get it properly tuned?? You might not want to hear this, but I think it's you not the car or cars.....![]()
You could be on to something there! But I think Chris's theory is pretty funnyDan_Soprano said:that sucks bro! You should keep the car though. Maybe a bad injector??

Look how crazy the 03's were when they first came out. Dealers were getting 10-15k over msrp on those too. Who knows though, the new one has "gods"cyazo6 said:I would like to buy a gt 500, but when I went to the dealer today they told me that there were three people that already have deposits on the ones they plan on getting for 20,000.00 over MRSP. Guess I'll have to atleast wait for the next batch to come out if I want one of those cars.
handwriting on it, so every old rich fart will probably keep supplies for us poor folk in short supply for awhile.
