Well i might as well tell you all how bad i sucked

i went 13.19 @ 113 with a 2.4 60 ft time

I have something wrong with my IRS or something. At the top of 2nd it would start to wag the rear end back and forth. then when i hit 3rd it would get worse the faster i went. so i let out at the 1000ft mark...i just pushed in the clutch and coasted through the traps. I hung it up after the 2nd run

It wasn't worth it to me to go 12s or wreck. Seriously i was all i could do to hold onto her. The second i pushed in the clutch it stopped ocilating.

I wonder what i would have trapped if i could have made a full pass

yes pound for pound. I do know that. Did you realize that the aluminum block would have to be alot beefier than the steel one if they weighed the same. Pound for pound the aluminum takes up more space. 1 pound of aluminum takes up more space than 1 pound of iron. There is only so much room in that engine bay. They only made those mod motors aluminum to save weight and hopefully gas. They went to iron blocks because they knew the same design in aluminum couldn't handle it. It would be a different story if they were reengineering them from the ground up out of aluminum.

Thanks, for your lengthy reply. Yes, I do know the Alumimum block would take up more space. All I said was that pound for pound, Aluminum is stronger. But, thanks for clearing that up.. Now, I'll sleep better... :rolleyes:

my car has water on it but it was from when the last wave of rain went through early this morn, its not doing anything out there now.

Stupid weathermen made it sound like it was going to rain everywhere all day
