Chris-

That rear end you have in your garage is a 94/95 right? Are you looking to part with it at all?

I want to do a 5 lug conversion but I want to run disc brakes in the rear and something that will fit a 17X10.5 wheel in the back.

Just got off the phone w/ Worden a little while ago, him and Fred were heading down to the track as well but they were also hitting rain. To bad that today sucked as far as the weather I really wanted to see some drag racing. Just being there really gave me the itch to get my car to the track even though that oil leak may prevent that as well.

The ride home sucked I got drilled w/ rain when I got to portland and almost got cleaned out by a mini van that merged over into my lane. I was in the far left and it just kept comming over close and closer, I had to nail the throttle to keep the idiot from hitting me, then I gave them the one finger salute.

Mike- Post up that # when you get a chance.

yeah the rain sucked. glad I made it home before any down pour. I even had time to stop in York to pick up some bread at this really good bakery. Warm chocolate bread and another was spinach, onion and garlic.
Got half way through washing my car and it started to pour.
Definitely have a stalling problem with the car plus running crappy when the throttle isn't open very much.
Thanks for the ice Mike and thanks to Larry for the lobster:nice: .

On the way home I passed one of those VWs that are lowered. It was rocking back and forth like a kids playground toy when he hit bumps. Thats what happens when you put in a crappy lowering suspension and have a short wheelbase. Thats not the first time I have seen that on a VW. I think it was a Golf or something similar.
I thought it was funny when I went by him and let him hear my blow off.

I just laugh at people who half ass a project or are just to stupid to know how to do it right to begin with.

I wanted to see some of the rice run today. Funny how they all talk crap in fourms or on the street but at the track they run 15's. The SRT-4's are not that bad but its still a stupid Neon.

Im suprised that Neon has enough power to spin those slicks in the burn out box.

That goes back to what I was talking about before w/ cars that look like they would run fast but there just turds trying to pull off the fast imiage. Usually if I see something w/ slicks on it Id be expecting something at least in the 11's

wonder how long before he snaps something in that front end. Im pretty damn sure those neons are not made to handle runs at the strip on slicks for an extended amount of time.

Bryan-

What brand of 31 splines are you running?

Hopefully Mike and Fred had better luck today than we did. This season has sucked so far for getting down there. This is my third attempt with no luck:mad:

I agree, the ride home sucked a$$. Right around Portland it started raining HARD, and my rear end was floating around all over the place. It got scary a few times, and it felt like I was going to slide into the traffic in the next lane over. Talk about some white knuckle driving! We actually had to pull over until the rain slowed down a bit. From Portland until about Topsham, I was going about 40-45mph. The roads got a lot better after that and it was fine the rest of the way.

Travis, the phone# to Butler and McMaster is 623-8895. Fred could also fill you in on what he knows about them. I have only heard good things personally.

BTW, it was great to see all of you guys again today:D You made Katie and I laugh, so that in itself was worth risking our lives driving down and back:rlaugh: Larry, thanks for hooking us up with the lobster rolls. Red's Eats has got nothing on you , buddy!!
