Has anyone found a vendor that makes a good quality stainless trim? I've ordered 2 trunk lid trims from NPD (who I have had a great past with) for my 67 FB and neither one fits. And yes, I did order for the FB, not for the conv or coupe. If one side fits, the other side sticks up almost 1/4 inch above the deck, and this cannot be bent to fit.

I also need trim for the front windshield if anyone knows of a vendor who makes a great fitting set.

Thanks for any help!

You can check with Mustangs Unlimited for the windsheild trim. They list it in their book for 85 bucks for 5 moldings for the Coupe & Fastback. Actually, they have EVERY piece of trim you will need. Hope they can help. That sux about NPD, I have always been satisfied with all my orders from them.

It's been my experience that the aftermarket stainless trim is very poor fitting. I replaced my front and rear window trim with shiny new aftermarket pieces (purchased from Mustangs Unlimited a few years ago) and cursed the entire time trying to get it to fit. I managed to get the trim attached, but dinged it up in the process despite best efforts to protect against it. It looks fine unless you get on top and start to analyze it. I plan to keep my eyes peeled for some original stanliess trim and replace eventually. If someone knows of a great aftermarket supplier for this trim, please share.

All the repop chrome is crap. I bent my hood molding getting it out of the box! I bought a used set of windshield trim from a "local" used parts guy. I'd go used and have it polished or rechromed.:nice:

PS: and don't get me started on the rocker moldings:bang:

Amen, it's crap. I'm looking for original windshield and trunk lid moulding. The finish doesn't matter as long as it's not dented. I've converted all my stainless to satin black. Looks great, but the media blaster got a little over-zealous on some of the pieces I'm now looking for, and distorted them.
