Just a quick one and yes this may sound dumb but only one way to find out and that's ask I guess. Anyway I have a 2000rpm stall converter in my coupe and someone was telling me there is a different way you need to drive them. It's a c4 auto, and i thought u would just accelerate to see it's benefits. You don't need to stall it up while pressing your brakes as the purpose of the stall converter is to get the same power straight away right? Is there something i'm missing?

In just normal driving you probably won't notice much difference from a stock converter with a 2000 stall. The extra stall really doesn't do much until you stall it against the brakes. We had a 5800 stall in our super gas car and you could drive it around the pits just like normal. We have a 4000 in our Olds right now and because of the brakes, we're lucky to get 3500 out of it.
