well for the past month ive been daily driving a 99 ranger saves me gas.

today i took the stang for a drive and its true. they put a smile on your face

now from sitting for a month its really dirty. i fixed a few little things that have been bugging me and i think i am going to keep it after it painted...because i know as soon as i would sell it im going to regret ever selling it.

anyway a few pics.

i put the blue leds in the HVAC controls, new tie rod ends, and a oil change today...then took a drive. boy did i miss the sound.

blurry pic.

and for those wondering how the interior is holding up with being dyed. 4,000+ miles since december 4th and holding up great.

green

blue

then the cd player that gave me alot of problems.

it will be going back for paint in about a month.

I'm curious about how the interior will hold up to sitting in the sun (that is unless it's ALREADY a garage queen..lol).

1. That would look terrible, Sonic blue already has a ton of pearl in it.

2. A pearl clearcoat is not an advised practice, If you want to overlay a pearl coat you make whats called a mid coat. IE: Solid blue base color with a transparent blue pearl mid coat. After this you would clear it, I should also mention that if you did a pear clear good luck not stripping or mottling the pearl.

Ryan, I did my car with Sonic Blue 4 years ago and I love the color. Code SN if you dont already have it.

I dunno...never seen it on the blue so you might be right, but performance red looks pretty awesome with it, though this pic doesn't really do it justice.

I am not saying that it cant be done, what I am saying is that if not done correctly it looks pretty bad. Also like I mentioned you dont do it over a color that already has that much pearl in it. Sonic blue takes about a whole bottle of pearl per gallon.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

98 cobra rims I believe.

Ryan, a sonic blue would be awesome on that car! I think that car either needs to be blue or green. And blue would look the best I think.

Like the HVAC gauges? I love having my interior blue like that. I even put the spare blue bulbs in my mirror map light. I really like blue The only thing I dont like are the knobs. I like the straigter ones better. But just my opinion. I've found that most others like ones like yours, so...
