I'm so aggrivated with my car right now! Just bought 2 new tires for the rear which cost me $300. Come to find out that one of my rims is broke, so now I have to order new rims. So I just blew another $560 on polished cobra r's(17x9/17x10.5).
The other day when driving home for my friends funeral, my ******* hood flies up! Luckly it didn't break my windshield but it did dent some of the pillar around the windshield and the hood is destroyed. I didn't have any tools on me but I was only 20 min outside of my school so my friend brought me up some tools. So I took the hood off and threw it in the woods and took back off to school without a hood. :fuss: Now I have to spend another $500 for an aftermarket hood because I can't find any stock ones in the area!!! The hood aren't that bad part but the damn shipping is ridiculous!
And on top of that, majority of the people I have emailed on this site and the corral about their hoods never even reply back. It always seems like once something breaks everything else starts breaking as well and it ends up costing you a fortune. Gotta love our cars....lol

How soon you need a hood? I've got 3. Two stock (laser red, small chip, and the deeper red (like wine or burgundy) no chips that I remember), and one aftermarket, CC SVO/cowl pin-on. On the car now, but ready for it to be gone. Make an offer and maybe we can meet half way. BTW - If you want the SVO/cowl it is laser red also....don't blow a gasket, bro.....

Im buying a new hood for mine shortly so I wont be needing my stock one. Its painted Rio red.

Thats some bad luck you had but I dont think its the stangs fault. I take it the hood wasent latched properly was it? Stock hoods dont just usually fly up for no reason. As far as your rim elobrate more on how it was " Broken" Rims dont just usally break for no reason, did you hit something??

on my 1995 GT my hood has popped open twice on me while im driving but luckily neither time did it open up all the way but on a 1966 Mustang I used to have it did open up all the way while i was driving so i had to take it to a body shop to have the hinges repaired

what a shock that is, eveything they make is crap, prob the worst company out there for hoods.

I did a short stint at a family friends bodyshop a couple years ago for the summer. guy brought one of those in, 6 out of the 7 thread inserts for the mounting hardware broke loose upon putting a bolt in there. Ended up putting about 4 hours re-fiberglassing the inserts just to get them to stay, and i wouldnt have wanted it on my car even after re-doing them. there was no way we were sure they were gonna stay. It would have had to have been done while the hood was still in pieces to actually get enough resin in the area under the hood blanket.

If you bought cincinnati composite, well you just got :owned:
