The Posse members so far have been unanimously voted in. with the exception of one that was let's say "field inducted" by one of the founders. Who, is not important.
Posse members have all been folks that know how to have a great time (which you do), but also know where to draw the line and abide by the terms of service of the forum (which you have trouble with).
As a result, we've had some difficulty so far, determining on when and how your vote for membership should be accomplished. Some of our members are just now getting familiar with you. The line in your signature identifies you as a potential member. Members see that line and might choose to look at your history, your threads, and your posts to decide whether or not you are Posse material.
Sure, you're a funny guy and can have a good time in the forums but the part that is slowing you down now is your ability (or lack thereof) to draw that line.
I don't know if you've noticed or not, but we bag upon each other, make jokes at the other's expense, and even talk junk about the other's girlfriends, wives, significant other, etc.
--BUT--
You might also notice that it's in good fun and no Posse member disrespects another. Even as a pledge so far, you've not shown those same characteristics. THAT, is what is holding up the vote for you.
This is a rather informal organization within StangNet. We do however, abide by the rules of the forum and are all interested in helping the forum become and stay, what it is today. We want the forum to GROW and be around for a long time. This isn't the corral where shoddy behaviour is accepted and encouraged. Those folks that are in the Posse so far, have pretty much the same mind-set. If you want to be part of that, you'll need to adopt that kind of mind-set.
It's not to say that you cannot be yourself or be an individual. Quite the contrary. You will though, need to adopt the civility that we've come to enjoy in at least this portion of the forum.
So relax... do what you do and be who you are while the members of the Posse make up their minds about whether they want you as one of us. Were I to hold the vote this instant, I would say that you have little or no chance of success. Given time and opportunity for everyone involved to know you, may tip the ballot more into your favor.
I can tell you though.... The things in your past track record that have caused you some grief with the SN staff are not acceptable.
If after reading this, you decide that it's just not worth your time then that's cool. You can remove the pledge line from your sig and part ways with no trouble. It certainly doesn't mean that you can't come and visit and hang out with us.... Not at all... we like to be involved with as much and as many folks on this forum as we can.
Be patient... Be civil... have fun... abide by the TOS of the forums.
When members tell Strype or I that they are prepared to vote, then we will hold the vote. I cannot say exactly when that will be.
