I sold my 89 LX 5.0 when my kids were both under 5 simply because I didn't have enough time or interest to keep the car.

Fast forward to now, kids are 7 + 10 and I picked up my 2000 Gt last fall. Both kids love it and I think it's a much better car then the LX was. That and the the fact that I added a two car garage onto my house so the car won't sit outside under a cover make me realize that I made the right decision to get rid of the old and patiently wait a few years.

I have a 1 year old. My wife and I each take a weekend day to do what we want. I get Saturday and she gets Sunday. During the week, I can mess with the car a little bit, usually I bring my son outside with me and he hangs out. The biggest issue for me is $$ flow. My wife stays at home, so I do not have the extra cash to do much anymore. I actually have the car for sale so that we can afford to have her stay home for two more years.

I have a 13 month old boy and I've been putting him and driving him around in my 2002 Mustang now for the last few months. Just 2 weeks ago, I purchased a brand new baby seat for my Mustang because I was using the one from my wife's truck. Now, I take my little boy all over the place in the Mustang. I think that the little guy loves riding in my Mustang. I want to give him my Mustang when he grows up and can drive.
I also own a 2001 Mustang GT with only 2,365 original miles on it.

Took my 5 yr old little girl to the store to pickup lunch. Put the booster seat with in the front seat and she was so happy. This was her first time in the front seat. I really made her day.

My oldest does the wheels and tires sometimes when we are getting ready to go to a Cruise or Car Show. I think I will have to give the 8 yr old a job soon.
