starter question??

Can someone confirm how to wire an aftermarket starter (jebco) with the solenoid on it? When I turn the key or do the solenoid/hotwire thing, the fender solenoid just clicks. nothing from the starter. Have the small red wire to the small nut and the black starter cable on the upper large nut going to the fender soelnoid. Left side w/ the battery positive as per instructions. Leaves a lower large nut. Am I missing something? Or should I check my wiring.

New everything exept under dash harness used...

its brand new. Connected for about five minutes before attempting start...
